What is a Conference Assembly?
There are 10 conferences in the Southwestern Minnesota Synod divided by their geographic locations. Each conference has an elected dean and chair and meet yearly in preparation for the Synod Assembly. This annual meeting, named the Conference Assembly, is led by the Conference Chair, assisted by the Conference Dean and attended by both lay and rostered members throughout the conference to consider nominations and resolutions/memorials that may be forwarded to Synod Assembly. Voting members may also nominate people for synod-wide positions and elect conference positions. All congregational members are welcome!
