Agapic Anger – Zoom Gathering

Rev. Dr. Jan Schnell writes and speaks about “Agapic Anger.” If anger is defined as a response to the violation of a value, then “agapic anger” occurs when one feels their values or the things they love have been violated. A person can shape their response through love into something that does good for one’s whole community. Church members and leaders can help people understand their anger and love and put this to use to do good for others. This topic is especially important, given the political mood in our communities this fall. This session brings both self-awareness and awareness of others and increase your capacity to help others to do good.

Rev. Dr. Jan Schnell teaches at Wartburg Seminary as Assistant Professor of Liturgics.
