Youth Leaders: Boundaries and Influence Zoom Training
February 28 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Youth workers, whether paid or not paid, have the opportunity to impact the next generation. This is a sacred and significant role. Having healthy boundaries when working with students is crucial, and that responsibility lies squarely on the shoulders of those leaders and the congregations with whom they serve. Join the conversation discussing ways to empower healthy boundaries, delve into the power that these adults hold, and provide food for thought about working with students. This training is planned especially for anyone who works with young people: youth leaders, Sunday School teachers, confirmation guides, faith formation committee members, and church council members. Pastors will want to attend so that all those who work with youth in a congregation are able to share the same information and together – and ensure that our churches are safe and healthy places for young people. This informative and interactive training event will be led by staff of Leaderwise.
The registration cost is $25 per congregation, whether one person participates or five+. Each participant will have to register individually with their own email address.
This training will include small group breakout sessions, so each participant will need their own Zoom device.
Congregations are asked to mail a check of $25 to confirm individual registrations before Feb. 24th. Mail payment to: SW MN Synod, PO Box 499, Redwood Falls, MN 56283.
The Zoom link will be emailed to registered participants on Monday, Feb. 27th.
Please call the synod office or email Kristin at [email protected] if you have any questions about registration.
