Synod Constitution Notice

In accordance with †S18.13. of the Synod Constitution, notice is hereby given that the Southwestern Minnesota Synod Council has approved forwarding proposed amendments to the Synod Constitution, Bylaws, and Continuing Resolutions to the congregations of this synod. 

The Constitution requires that notice of proposed changes be sent to all congregations at least six months prior to the next regular meeting of the Synod Assembly. The next Synod Assembly is scheduled for June 5–6, 2026. 

This communication serves as official notice to your congregation. The document below contains the recommended amendments for your consideration.
