LYO is bringing back the youth-led praise band to the SW MN Synod!
Beginning October 1, high school musicians (current 9-12 graders) will be able to apply to be part of this group, mentored by Rev. Hans Peterson of Dakota Road. The application process includes a short written application as well as a required audio sample. Applications will be open October 1 through November 30. Final band selections will be announced in December. More information to come!
This group will be the house band for all LYO Gatherings and the ELCA Gathering’s “Synod Day” in New Orleans. All selected students will be required to attend the following:
- Overnight retreat in Spicer (January 19-20)
- Spring Rehearsal (tbd)
- Practice Worship Services (tbd)
- Senior High Gathering (March 7-10)
- ELCA Gathering (July 16-20, registration paid by LYO)
