Position Opening
The Southwestern Minnesota Synod has a position opening for a Synod Minister/Equip Congregation Leaders. This Synod Minister position will continue to focus on call processes and will require knowledge and experience working in finances. Click here to read the position description and how to apply.
Summer is a wonderful time for rostered ministers and lay leaders to grab some precious weeks away. So synod staff asked leaders if they would find it helpful to have some recorded sermons available for use any time over the course of the summer. You said, “Yes, please!” So we got to work, and have three of the four sermons ready for use.
The sermons (video and manuscript) are framed around the synod’s identity/mission statement. They include one Scripture text that can serve as the reading for the day. The bulletins and hymn suggestions are up to you; congregations – please make your own choices for what works in your setting. You may use just one sermon, use them in a series, focus on them for a Bible study group, or use them however your congregation may need them.
