Dave Daubert and Richard E.T. Jorgenson, Jr., serve as church leaders doing ministry online and on-the-ground during the pandemic. In the midst of this experience, they teamed-up to write, Becoming a Hybrid Church, (Day 8 Strategies, 2020). Last month many of us were able to learn from Dave Daubert on this topic as he met with the Rostered Ministers group. You can hear that recording by clicking here. (Access Passcode: Synod3F#) Dave Daubert will also be presenting at the Congregational Lay Leaders Zoom Meeting on April 15th.
Join other leaders for further conversation about how you are experiencing aspects of being a hybrid church, things you wonder about, things you struggle with, things you hope for, and have time to learn from colleagues.
The book includes 9 chapters, and each of those chapters provides a scripture text for study and prayer – great for our own thinking and in conversation with others in our congregations. Here’s how we will approach the Zoom conversations:
Thursday, April 22 – 11:00 – 11:55 a.m.
Chapter 1 – The Hybrid Church and Adaptive Leadership
Chapter 2 – Worship in the Hybrid Church
Chapter 3 – Social Media in a Hybrid Church
Chapter 4 – Spiritual Formation in the Hybrid Church
Thursday, April 29 – 11:00 – 11:55 a.m.
Chapter 5 – Servanthood in the Hybrid Church
Chapter 6 – Evangelical Witness in the Hybrid Church
Chapter 7 – Pastoral and Congregational Care in the Hybrid Church
Chapter 8 – Stewardship in the Hybrid Church
Chapter 9 – Facilities in the Hybrid Church
The book is available from Day 8 Strategies. Click here to view and order online.
