We live with a public health challenge, the likes of which we have not seen in several generations. This webinar will bring together insights from Luther’s pastoral theology, modern public health practices, and practical experiences to help us think wisely in this rapidly changing situation.

Rev Leonard Hummel PhD will bring insights from Martin Luther’s pastoral practice and theology. Pr Hummel is Emeritus Professor of Pastor Care, United Lutheran Seminary and currently serves as Chaplin at Allina Health Home Care Services.
Sylvia L. Cook RN, PHN, MPH will help us understand the implications of public health guidance. Ms. Cook is a retired public health nurse with 30 years of service in county and state health departments.
Rev. Stephen Cook, Synod Minister, will moderate and bring insights from growing practical experiences from the Synod and ELCA.
