The Southwestern Minnesota Synod, along with Luther Seminary and several other synods are participating in a project called Leadership for Faithful Innovation, made possible through a Lilly Grant given to the seminary.
There is no doubt that the church is changing and the old models of leadership and faith formation don’t work anymore. We often have difficulty figuring out what new models we can use that will be effective, innovative, and faithful.
We are looking for 5-6 pastors and their congregations to participate in this three year project that includes spiritual practices, learning communities, coaching sessions and periodic training events. We want pastors who are committed to doing the work involved in this project for the entire three years and whose congregations trust them enough to take risks.
An overview of the project is posted below.
If you would like to be part of this exciting venture please fill out the online application and the learning covenant form by no later than July 20th, 2018.
